Creating a suit for Becky
The commission of a wedding suit for women is always an emotional and exciting project. A wedding is one of life’s most meaningful occasions, and creating a bespoke suit for such a day is a beautiful journey — one that celebrates love, individuality, and craftsmanship.
I had the honor of designing this special tailored suit for Becky. When we first met in my atelier in Berlin, she shared her inspirations with me. She loved the timeless style of the series Peaky Blinders, and I couldn’t agree more — the sharp tailoring and vintage details are truly inspiring.
Together, we decided on a single-breasted tuxedo for women in classic black, paired with a tuxedo shirt featuring front pleats and a simple banded collar. The result is a modern yet elegant look that perfectly reflects Becky’s personality and the spirit of her special day.
The suit was crafted from a luxurious evening fabric by Standeven — a refined mohair-wool blend with an elegant sheen. The mohair gives the fabric resilience, making it naturally wrinkle-resistant and helping the suit maintain its perfect shape throughout the day.
To complete the design, we incorporated classic tuxedo details such as a silk lapel, silk galon, a side stripe on the trousers, and side adjusters — timeless elements that emphasize sophistication and traditional craftsmanship.

The whole process from initial meetings to talk through the many options, to deciding on a look that was perfect for me, down to the fittings and the finished suit, was so enjoyable. Agnes is super knowledgeable and the quality and style of the suits she creates is absolutely immaculate. I chose a tuxedo that had so many unique twists on the classic style and the finishings and small details really added to the complete look. Agnes has a great design eye and advised me also on shoes, cufflinks and pocket squares. We enjoyed glasses of champagne and chats about the football during our meetings, I didn’t ever feel like a ‘customer’ but rather I had made a new connection and Agnes was very much part of my wedding journey.
