Bespoke Three-Piece Tuxedo for Women – A Wedding Suit by Agnes Nordenholz

Laura commissioned a bespoke three-piece tuxedo for women, designed as a timeless alternative to a traditional wedding dress. The ensemble consists of a double-breasted tuxedo jacket, a tailored waistcoat, and straight-leg trousers, all cut to precise measurements and crafted using classic tailoring techniques.

For the civil wedding, we chose to reinterpret one of Laura’s existing tailored suits by adding a custom waistcoat in grey herringbone wool. The look was completed with a pleated tuxedo shirt, featuring traditional front pleats—an understated nod to formal eveningwear and sartorial heritage.

The main wedding celebration with friends and family took place in Greece, inspiring a lighter and more luminous material choice. For this occasion, the tuxedo was crafted from a fine plain wool selected from the Classic British Formalwear collection by Dugdale Bros. The fabric is a refined 280-gram wool, chosen in a cream tone, offering elegance, breathability, and structure—ideal for a warm Mediterranean setting.

Each bespoke suit by Agnes Nordenholz is designed in Berlin and produced in close collaboration with specialized ateliers, emphasizing slow luxury, natural materials, and lasting craftsmanship. This tuxedo is not only a wedding garment, but a long-term wardrobe piece—intended to be worn, adapted, and lived in.
